Description
This line a day, five-year memory book chronicles most of Helen Pease's four years at Vassar, beginning in January of her freshman year. She chronicled her daily academic routine, but also included notes on her free time, which she filled with mandolin playing, piano playing, singing, dancing, basketball, ice skating, sledding (coasting), knitting, bike-riding, hiking, going to the movies, and a lot of socializing with classmates. She also mentions either making or obtaining candy, cookies, cake, or ice cream with some frequency. She wrote about time at home in Boston, vacations on the coast of Maine, and teaching at Bradford Academy after graduation.
