Description
Mary White Morton Ziegler was a special student at Radcliffe College from 1893-1895. These letters home to her mother in New Hampshire describe Radcliffe student life, classmates, and professors. She writes extensively about her coursework, lectures, and exams. Ziegler also describes visits to her grandparent’s home in Newton, Massachusetts, attending plays, and visiting Boston museums. She details her living arrangements with a family in Cambridge, and her search for suitable housing near the college. In a letter dated May 29, 1894, Ziegler briefly mentions attending a Women’s Suffrage Festival given in honor of Julia Ward Howe’s 75th birthday.
