Description
Elizabeth Wright Plimpton was a member of the Radcliffe College Class of 1929. Her scrapbook contains clippings, course schedules, grades, and exams documenting her freshman and sophomore years at Radcliffe College. In addition, the scrapbook contains other printed material such student handbooks (the “Red Book”) and library handbooks for 1925 and 1926, registration materials, and bills and receipts. Plimpton was involved in athletics at Radcliffe and was a member of the field hockey team; several clippings are about sports at Radcliffe and the Boston area. In addition, the scrapbook contains notes from fellow students, as well as invitations and programs. It also contains memorabilia from traditional Radcliffe events, including an apron and hat from the Senior Spread. Plimpton annotated many of the items in the scrapbook with explanatory notes.
