Marjory tells her sister about basketball, and a lecture from the college physician about not trying to be prominent in everything, but focusing on one's personal strengths, be they musical, academic, athletic, and so on. She writes about the Hubbard House dance, drawing lots for changing seats at the dinner table, attending the Episcopal Church with Anna Thorne, playing music in the parlor with Miss Mynter, homesickness, sewing, and visiting Mabel Hartsuff. Marjory thanks her family for sending her the personal items that she requested, and inquires after some people from home.
