Marjory thanks her mother for the five dollars she sent her so that she could continue to take horseback riding lessons. She writes about visiting her brother Harry in Amherst on Decoration Day, dinner with Mrs. Hopkins, a visit to Mount Sugarloaf in Sunderland with Harry, Gretrude's upcoming travels from Germany, exams, Baccalaureate, dramatics, the rainy weather, and various other small items of news about people they know.
