Description
Letters written in correspondence between Bryn Mawr College junior Natalie Gookin and her family in Chicago during August 1918. These letters have been arranged chronologically according to the date that they were written. Natalie writes her parents about the various activities and events she attends while she is on vacation on Mackinac Island in Michigan with her friends. From her letters, it is clear that she has an intimate and close relationship with them as she shares every little detail with her parents. Most of her vacation is spent playing tennis, swimming, and relaxing with friends. These letters would be of interest to anyone studying personal lives, home relationships, and women's colleges.
